Free–Or Cheap–Local Family Fun for Your Summer Bucket List

There’s piles and piles of free and discounted goodness…let’s see what we can cram in before the end of summer, shall we?

For Locals:

Two Buck Tuesday at Thanksgiving Point: every Tuesday in August means Thanksgiving Point discounts all their attractions to a mere $2.00 admission fee.  Sneaky inside tip: be sure to visit the Museum of Ancient Life and check out “The Science Of Sound” exhibit–incredible.  Find more info here.

Salt Lake County Fair discounts:  The Salt Lake County Fair, which starts Wednesday, is offering free tickets to a concert opening night by country recording artist John Gracin. Go HERE and scroll to the bottom of the page for more information and for a list of Mountain America Credit Union union branches that have the free tickets, which are available while supplies last.  Sneaky inside tip: have your children been reading this summer? The fair is giving out free carnival rides to children who write reports on the books they have read. Go HERE for info.

The Leonardo Science & Art Museum: haven’t been to The Leonardo lately? The museum lowered its prices recently. The cost of adult  admission is $9, down from $14. Children ages 6–17, seniors and students now pay only  $7. Children 5 and younger  still get free admission. For more information about the museum, go HERE

Thank you, One Cheap Chick!
