Every New Year’s Eve Event Along The Wasatch Front. Soooo… made any plans for New Year’s Eve? According to a poll I read today, 65% of us have no freaking idea where we’re ringing in 2018, so let’s give some options here, shall we?


SL County:


The Gateway is hosting Last Hurrah- new this year after the demise of the EVE celebration. There’s music from 9 p.m. to midnight, food trucks, a gaming room and capping the night off with fireworks. Gates open at 8 p.m. at The Gateway, 400 W. 100 South,  and it’s free! (lasthurrahslc.com)

-This one’s kind of an investment, but if you’re into golf, like, a lot… Topgolf is hosting New Year’s Eve with live entertainment, a special menu and… golf. This is Dec. 31, beginning at 9 p.m. Topgolf, 920 W. Jordan River Blvd., Midvale, $225-$450 (topgolf.com/us/salt-lake-city)

Temple Square’s Family Night Sing-Along is Friday, Dec. 29, at 7 p.m., Assembly Hall, Temple Square, and it’s free. (lds.org/events)

-Five different musical acts Temple Square’s Tabernacle are bringing in 2018 with some glorious noise. There’s the Japanese drummers, Kenshin Taiko SLC, Best of Broadway, Phoenix Jazz and Swing Band and more. The New Year’s Celebration is Dec. 30, 6 p.m., Tabernacle, Temple Square, and it’s free. The Natural History Museum of Utah is back with their annual Noon Year’s Eve Celebration, where “midnight” happens at noon. Loveland Living Planet Aquarium is also ringing in the new year a little early, with a party that includes family activities, prize drawings, and a confetti drop at noon. For The Big Kids:

Utah County:


Ring in the New Year with your family at the Provo Recreation Center. There’s two fireworks shows, at 9 p.m. and midnight. This year, it’s the “New York” theme with Radio City karaoke, Coney Island inflatables, Statue of Liberty boat cruise, and paparazzi photo booth. Thanksgiving Point is hosting Nite Bright at their Museum of Natural Curiosity. There’s dancing with a live DJ and play in the indoor galleries at the museum.
