It finally becomes so BLASTED HOT that it’s next to impossible to exercise outside, no matter how committed you are to your fitness goals. (Editor’s note: when I worked at a Phoenix, Arizona radio station, there was a period between July and September when the weather would stick at 120 degrees for like, 10 days in a row. The freaking tarmac would melt at Sky Harbor Airport! The only thing you could do was lay flat on the bathroom tile and hit Mr. Air Conditioner to full blast. And it was still burning hot.)
